Our fifth year
Today we begin our fifth year as the Web's number one site for news and information about WWII-related books, authors, publishers, and booksellers.
When we posted our first daily message here in mid-September 1995, very few booksellers and publishers were on the Web. And not many booksellers or publishers could quite comprehend what the Internet was all about. Nowadays, due in no small part to our efforts at dragging some of them kicking and screaming into cyberspace, the Web is home to nearly everyone who is anyone in the military book business, and it has never been quicker, easier, or less expensive for readers, researchers, collectors, veterans, and hobbyists to learn about and acquire new, used, out-of-print, and hard-to-find World War II books.
We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone -- including all our thousands upon thousands of visitors -- for helping us make Stone & Stone's Second World War Books successful beyond our wildest dreams for the past four years. We have even more new free services and features lined up for the very near future, so make sure you bookmark this page and return here often during our fifth year.
