From French MacLean "My new book: The Camp Men: The SS Officers Who Ran The Nazi Concentration Camp System was published this week by Schiffer. I have almost completed a companion volume on the officers who served in the einsatzkommandos and believe I will have that submitted to Schiffer by the end of September in time for the December publication target date. In addition to describing the organization and function of these units, the book will detail information on 315 (identified so far) SS officers who served in these units. This work will have close to 200 photographs and several maps which will show the progress of the units as they advanced into Russia in 1941. "My goal for both books is to provide the reader with not only an interesting read, but also a set of books he'll come back to time and again when he comes across the name of an SS officer in some other book and wants to easily review biographical information. Those readers familiar with the "Knight's Cross" series by Biblio Verlag will have an insight of how the book is organized."
