New arrival
22 December 2018

Zooming its way from Hungary at high speed, Armoured Warfare in the Battle for Budapest by Norbert Szamveber arrived here from PeKo yesterday. It's a big, enormously detailed book (nearly 900 pages; no photos) dealing with the campaign culminating in the encirclement of Budapest. Definitely a cut above the average book that arrives here, and we've added it to our Recommended Reading list.

We still need to finish 30 pages of translations, which should be finished up within the next couple of months. After that, it will be edited by myself and then sent out to multiple people for proofreading. I am aiming for late 2019 for publication.

News from Craig Luther
6 December 2018

This news comes from the author's website, Barbarossa 1941:

"Another book of mine, a fully annoted [sic] version of Dr. Heinrich Haape's iconic eastern front memoir (Moscow Tram Stop. A Doctor's Experiences with the German Spearhead in Russia, 1941/42), was to be released by Stackpole Books in 2019; sadly, its publication has been delayed by unresolved contract demands put forth by Dr. Haape's son. So the release date still remains in doubt."
