Here's what the publisher has to say as of this week:

George Elsey—a USN officer who served as naval aide for intelligence and communications in the White House for FDR and Truman, and subsequently wrote a book about his experiences with those presidents plus Churchill and other wartime figures—died in California on 30 December at the age of 97, one of the last direct links with Franklin Roosevelt's presidency.
