News from the Netherlands Robert Sigmond sends this update: "Yesterday we presented Arnhem: Their Final Battle: The 11th Battalion The Parachute Regiment, 1943 - 1944. Of course a mainly Arnhem story. We have had a fine get-to-gether of those involved. Sorry to say David Truesdale (co-author) was unable to attend because he was in hospital last week. Lt Col Gerrit Pijpers (Royal Dutch Airforce), the author, signed many books and also present was Pat Gorman, a former member of the 11th Battalion in 1944, now 91 years of age!"

News from Mark Reardon Mark Reardon, editor of Defending Fortress Europe: The War Diary of the German 7th Army in Normandy, sends along this update on his current project: "I am starting work on a book on the US Army Air Force in Tunisia during 1942-43. It will focus almost as much on their Luftwaffe opponents and British allies as it will the 12th AF (and 9th AF interdiction missions). Right now I am currently compiling a plane by plane shoot down list of all RAF, Luftwaffe and USAAF (and some Italian Air Force) losses during the campaign. I consider that a vital part of any analysis because I can compare loss rates, loss by aircraft type, kills by aircraft type, etc. at various points in the manuscript using that information."
