Walt Urmann—a US Navy veteran who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor aboard USS Blue, as well as the subsequent loss of the destroyer off Guadalcanal in August 1942—died in California on 25 March at the age of 88.

When we started Stone & Stone Second World War Books in 1995, dozens of secondhand booksellers specializing in WWII—or at least military history—constantly mailed a steady stream of printed catalogs. Nowadays T. Cadman WW2 Books of California is one of the few remaining specialists who sends out catalogs, and #121 has arrived here with some excellent secondhand titles for sale.
