Editor's Pick
19 February 2009

Sometimes when we run across an interesting/unusual/informative book, especially an older or out-of-print one, we like to bring it to your attention. Here's one:

Fenyo, Mario D. Hitler, Horthy, and Hungary: German-Hungarian Relations, 1941-1944. New Haven, CT: Yale University Press, 1972

Slightly dated but still the best introduction to Hungarian participation in the war. Despite the title, includes Horthy's overtures to Soviets, Brits, etc.

We were pleased to receive our first printed catalog from the famed Berkelouw Books ("since 1812") of Berrima, NSW, Australia today. In this case, "Catalogue 507: Militaria, Part I: A-K" appeared in our mailbox with 317 top-of-the-line (and, naturally, rather pricey) listings of books about WWII and other wars. What's the exchange rate these days?
