This day in history Sixty-five years ago today, on 21 March 1943, Hitler survived the second assassination attempt in eight days when Colonel von Gersdorff was unable to detonate a bomb before the Fuehrer abruptly left a memorial ceremony at the Unter den Linden Armory museum in Berlin.

News from England Jonathan Prickett sends a full accounting of upcoming titles from Military Press: We have Jack Hays' Mountain Division here. It will be going to be printed next week as part 1 and part 2. There is also a revised edition of his Infantry Divisionthree partsto follow that. We also have a new author writing a series on the US Army's WWII Divisions. Volume one is underway and there will be about five more volumes. Kennedy's series on the British division T & OEs in NW Europe 1944-5 seems to be running to nine volumes. Philson's series on the BEF May 1940 division T & OEs, also with operational histories, is progressing, and will include a volume of colour maps. As to Lee Sharp's series on the French Army, volume 6 will be published in two parts, followed by:
