Editor's Pick Sometimes when we run across an interesting/unusual/informative book, especially an older or out-of-print one, we like to bring it to your attention. Here's one: Burdick, Charles. Germany's Military Strategy and Spain in World War II. Syracuse, NY: Syracuse University Press, 1968 After much research in German archives and interviews with Halder, Blumentritt, Warlimont, Doenitz, Ruge and others, Burdick wrote a surprisingly engaging investigation of German preparations for an assault on Gibraltar as well as contingency plans for intervention in Spain.
