News from Joe Balkoski
27 February 2004

Author Joe Balkoski writes: "My new book, Omaha Beach: June 6, 1944, has been published and is now available. Thanks to all who helped me on this immense project.

"I am also about one-third through my second volume of what I hope will be a four-volume history of American involvement in the Normandy campaign. Volume II covers the Utah landing and the 82nd and 101st Airborne drops, as well as a detailed look at the Ninth Air Force IX Troop Carrier Command, which brought in the paratroopers; and IX Bomber Command, which bombed Utah on D-Day with over 300 B-26 Marauders."
