David Newton brings to our attention—thanks!—the HyperWar Project. "The US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy and US Army Air Force all have at least some histories digitised on the site. In addition to that, I have completed one volume of History of the United Kingdom in the Second World War, that on The Campaign in Norway. I am currently working on British War Economy by Hancock and Gowing, the first of the civil histories."

Love those thick, detailed NZ official histories, but they're just too hard to find and too expensive when you do? Mark McGuire reports from the land of Kiwis that "the New Zealand Electronic Text Centre is digitising the New Zealand Official War Histories." Two of the first online are among the toughest to locate in tangible paper and ink: Official History of New Zealand in the Second World War 1939-45: 28 (Maori) Battalion and Official History of New Zealand in the Second World War 1939-45: The Pacific.
