"I expect our reprint of the 2nd Armored Division history on Tuesday [September 3rd]. Have just decided to do another printing for the 102nd Infantry Division history but with the large roster which was left out of the 1980 Battery Press reprint. Also planning a 77th Infantry Division history reprint in either late November or mid January."

Gabriele, Mariano. Operazione C3: Malta. Rome: Ufficio Storico, 1990

Unlike Germany's abortive plans for the invasion of England, Operation Sealion, the planned Axis invasion of Malta has not spawned a host of English-language books. The single best source of Axis planning for the assault on Malta is this volume from the Italian official history series, with complete details on how Operation C3 would have been conducted, had it not been cancelled after the fall of Tobruk in 1942. Grab your Italian-English dictionary....
